10 Applique animals for felt or fabric. 1 pair of each motif given. Safari animals to trim potholders, towels, game room, nursery pictures and clothing.

No. 2332. This Pattern Contains 2 Transfer Pieces. Pattern includes transfer for 1 pair of each of the 10 different appliqué motifs shown on the front of the envelope. Included are Hippo (A) 4-3/4 inches high, Lion (B) 5 inches high, Giraffe (C) 7-1/4 inches high, Kangaroo (D) 6-1/2 inches high, Tiger (E) 4-1/2 inches high, Elephant (F) 3-3/4 inches high with Tree (F) 1-3/4 inches high, Monkey (G) 6-3/4 inches high, Rhino (H) 3-3/4 inches high, Zebra (J) 6 inches high and Native (I) 6-1/2 inches high.

Placing patterns are given for all motifs except B. Motifs are suitable for felt appliqué or sewing machine fabric appliqué. Trim potholders, towels, aprons, tote bags, childrens, womens jackets or skirts, book covers, afghans, pillow covers, screens, game room or nursery pictures or wall hangings. Trim ready-mades or items made from McCall patterns.

Trims include rickrack, sequins, embroidery, twine or fringe. Beading, crystal and seed beads.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

Appliqués Bright colored felts and fabrics; use scrap bag pieces or 1/4 yard of main colors and 1/8 yard of other colors will make several.

Trimmings – 1/4 yard regular gold metallic rickrack for Views A and D; 1/8 yard regular red rickrack for View J; 1-inch wide cotton fringe – 1/4 yard brown (View B), green (View G), 1/8 yard black (View I); scraps of heavy twine for (E); two café curtain rings for (I) and small pompon for (J).

Hand Embroidery – Use black, white, green and brown six-strand cotton.

Sewing Machine Appliqué – and Embroidery Machine embroidery thread to match appliqué fabric.

Beading – Vari-colored large and small, Plain and fancy sequins and crystal seed beads.
