Making the 16″ Betsy McCall stuffed rag doll from McCall’s 2097 sewing pattern (circa 1956) includes a chemise with lace edging and a petticoat with ruffled eyelet trim. View A– has a dress, jacket, skirt, and a cummerbund. At View B–the dress has lace edging and a back large bow. View C–has a dress, and jumper with side buttons. View D– the dress has 3 stitched steams on the bodice and buttons for flowers.
Also, in addition, the adorable McCall’s 1810 sewing pattern for Betsy’s pet dog Nosy the Dachshund is 15″ long. Her kitten is about 11” long.
The faces are embroidered and jet ball buttons are used for the dogs’ eyes. A big ribbon with a bow and bell finish the pets.
